A Crack in the Wall

there's a crack
a crack in the wall
there's a crack
but we don't really notice it 
much at all
it's above the clock
(both indicating the passing of time)
but we don't really use that clock
it's more of the shrine 

the passing of time
minutes, seconds, days
it's somewhat frightening 
how quickly time 
seems to tick away

i wonder how (over time)
that crack came to be
i also wonder if 
i'll able to see
the importance of 
not letting the passing of time 
get the best of me.
